In A Tax Haven: The country or state where taxes are much less than elsewhere or there are no business, income or inheritance taxes at all. It is often used by companies of another country which register in the tax haven to avoid tax.
[In a globalised economy, tax is supposed to be charged on the privilege of earning income, gaining profits, owning property or on the right to trade in goods, services or currencies within a state's jurisdiction no matter where the company is registered or where the individual is domiciled. It is the price we pay for civilisation and progress; it provides a social cushion against anarchy and war, and restrains the uncontrolled hoarding of wealth by people with privileged knowledge in privileged positions.]
